Join us for a Happy Hour honoring the YLAI Fellows!
The Combine is thrilled to announce that we will be hosting Daniel Fernández, Fabiane Kuhn, and Paz Alvarez as part of the Young Leaders of the Americas Initiative. They will be with us and the University of Nebraska-Lincoln from March 11th to April 4th.

Let's meet our distinguished guests:
Daniel Fernández is an Industrial Engineer and MBA professional working as Director of Operations at Ferba Internacional (biostimulant distributors in Central America and the Caribbean) and Lleida Internacional (asparagus production in Costa Rica). Besides these 9 to 5 jobs, his desire to systematically impact positively as many people as possible has led him to become a college professor, founder at GO Create Engineering (industrial engineering consultancy), Indie Author of fiction books, and to create and organize BOOKAFEST in Costa Rica.
Fabiane Kuhn is co-founder and CEO of Raks Agricultural Technology, a company focused on remote sensing of soil moisture for irrigation management. Her background in electronics and computer science allows her to have a deep knowledge of technology and its applications in agribusiness. Her company currently serves the entire Brazilian territory and the solution has already been tested in the United States.
Paz Alvarez is Co-Founder and CEO of Zavia Bio, an ag-biotech startup that develops biostimulants and biopesticides based on designer proteins to increase yield and climate adaptation on stressed crops, in a sustainable and cost-efficient way. As part of a family of agricultural and wine producers, she is Partner at Belleville Winery and Vineyards. She served as Director of Rural Development at the Ministry of Agriculture of Argentina, where her efforts to promote the adoption of technologies for climate change adaptation by family farmers were awarded by the Governments of the United States and Taiwan.
